Aug. 5--Uptown Columbus Inc. is no longer in the red thanks to a land sale that ultimately will benefit the Columbus State University Coca-Cola Space Science Center.
Uptown Columbus, a downtown revitalization organization, said Monday it sold a small parcel of land adjacent to the Space Science Center to Columbus State University, which owns and operates the facility. The price tag for the 16,850-s...uare-foot plot of land on the south side of the center was the city's appraised value of $178,600. The deal closed Friday.
