Aug. 6--Is it in NBA phenom LeBron James to sign with PepsiCo's Gatorade unit?
Or does he have a taste for another beverage, namely Coca-Cola's PowerAde?
In what may turn out to be the next high-stakes battle for the high school standout-turned-NBA pro, James is said to be looking at offers from both Gatorade and Coke.
Whether or not either company is willing to shell out more than $2 million a year for James is not yet clear.
But don't be surprised if Gatorade--which has spent wisely with its stable of athletes over the years--sits and waits this out.
Insiders say that James may be holding out for bigger bucks than even Michael Jordan did in...
