Lockheed Picks BAE for Air Force Mission Computers.

Sep. 3--NASHUA, N.H.--BAE Systems has been awarded two contracts worth $20 million to provide the Air Force with mission computers that allow a two-pilot crew and a loadmaster to operate the entire aircraft.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company awarded the contracts to BAE Systems Information & Electronic Warfare Systems business unit, which has its head...uarters on Spit Brook Road, to design and build subsystems for the Air Force's C-130J Hercules and C-5 Galaxy aircraft.

The contracts were awarded between April and June, and engineers have already started working on the initial designs for the C-5 contract, according to John Wall, BAE's product line...
