German Hotel Chain to Manage Siam Paragon Complex.

Sep. 3--Siam Paragon Development has picked the German hotel chain Kempinski to manage the five-star hotel that will be built at the 12-billion-baht Siam Paragon complex due to open in 2005.

Kempinski was chosen from a group of international hotel chains including Accor which had vied for the management contract, according to a source familiar with developments.

The hotel, estimated to cost three billion baht, will be built on a 72-rai plot of land next to Sra Pathum Palace, replacing the demolished Siam InterContinental Hotel.
