Newport News, Va., Credit Union Expands Membership Requirements.

Sep. 4--NEWPORT NEWS, Va.--The Peninsula's third-largest credit union, 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, expects to double in size over the next five years after receiving regulatory permission to expand its membership requirements.

Instead of serving about 150 select employee groups, including Colonial Williamsburg and Fort Eustis, the credit union can now do business with anyone who works, lives, worships or goes to school in Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Williamsburg and the counties of York, Gloucester and James City.
