Camden, N.J., Businesses Protest Rowan University's Expansion Plans.

Sep. 5--CAMDEN, N.J.--Small dreams collided with big revitalization plans last night as a group of about 20 city businesses gathered to protest reports that their enterprises might be demolished as part of Rowan University's expansion plans along Cooper Street.

Under Camden's five-year, $175 million state-funded economic-recovery plan, Rowan has received $5 million in matching funds to build a 50,000-square-foot academic building somewhere along Cooper Street downtown.
