Waukegan, Ill.-Based Slot Machine Maker Comes Out Swinging with New Games.

Sep. 10--WMS Industries, once a top slot manufacturer, is poised to punch its way out of semiretirement and into heavyweight contention with new line of machines and upgraded technology.

The Waukegan, Ill.-based company has invested more than $40 million since 2001 developing a new technology platform and slot cabinet, state-of-the-art software and inspection system to monitor the integrity of each slot machine, and new slot content. In addition, it has repurchased $42 million in outstanding shares to increase shareholder yields, President Brian Gamache said.
