Enrollment Soars at National College of Business' Salem, Va., Campus.

Sep. 13--Enrollment at the Salem campus of the National College of Business and Technology has jumped nearly 40 percent since a year ago, college officials said this week.

When 827 students began classes Monday, they constituted the largest student body in years. Only after the Vietnam War ended and GIs cashed in government education benefits was enrollment in a similar range, said Patrick Kennard, director of institutional planning of the business school. Kennard said enrollment was just under 600 a year ago.
