Connecticut, Others Sue EPA over Pesticide Levels on Food.

Sep. 16--Connecticut joined three other states and a coalition of environmentalists Monday in filing lawsuits that accuse the U.S. government of failing to protect children from dangerous pesticides on food.
The suits seek to force the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to enforce an 8-year-old law aimed at limiting pesticide residue on all food to levels that are safe for consumption by children.
"The EPA's failure to protect children from poisonous pesticides is unconscionable and unlawful," said Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, who joined his counterparts in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey in filing suit. "It makes everyday...
