Residents Seek to Block Farm-Road Extension in Denton County, Texas.

Sep. 28--Despite gridlock on many southern Denton County roads, a project supported by government leaders to provide relief is drawing strong criticism from thousands of residents.

Extending Farm Road 2499 across Lewisville Lake and through Highland Village would help ease travel for thousands of commuters to Texas 121 and Interstate 35E, officials from Denton County and the Texas Department of Transportation say. Municipal leaders in every community along the route also support the project.
