Oct. 8--Wauwatosa-based Alterra Healthcare Corp. said Tuesday that it plans to become a privately held company once a bankruptcy court approves a new ownership plan as the company emerges from Chapter 11 reorganization.
Under the plan, which needs bankruptcy court approval, Alterra's headquarters will remain in Wauwatosa at 10000 Innovation Drive, and Mark Ohlendorf will continue as Alterra's president, Ohlendorf said.
The restructuring plan was filed with the court Tuesday, he said. The plan calls for the company to be owned by a joint venture formed by Fortress Investment Group in New York and Seattle-based Emeritus Corp.
