Oct. 9--EARNINGS, REVENUES JUMP AT MATRIX SERVICE CO.: Matrix Service Co. is reporting Thursday that net income for its fiscal first quarter climbed 145 percent to $3.9 million, or 45 cents per fully diluted share, from $1.6 million, or 19 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.
Revenues for the quarter, which ended Aug. 31, rose 196 percent to $158.8 million, the Tulsa-based company stated late Wednesday in an e-mail.
Revenues from Matrix's construction services segment totaled $123.4 million during the quarter, up from $29.9 million in the year-ago period. Much of the increase is due to a significant jump in construction work on the East Coast, primarily from the Hake...
