More Temporary Worker Being Hired in Nevada during September 2003.

Oct. 9--Temporary-worker hiring is increasing, statistics show, and

local experts say that trend augurs well for out-of-work Nevadans and the overall economy.

In the summary accompanying its employment report last week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported temporary-help employment increased for the fifth consecutive month. Taking the past three months alone, the bureau reported, based on nonseasonally adjusted numbers, the number of Americans on temporary-help service payrolls went from 2.25 million in July to 2.33 million in August to 2.4 million in September.
