Quarterly Net Income Doubles at Lindsay Manufacturing of Omaha, Neb.

Oct. 15--Lindsay Manufacturing Co., a maker of center pivot, lateral move and hose reel irrigation systems, Monday reported a 107 percent increase in fourth-quarter net income on a 1.5 percent increase in revenue.
The Omaha company posted net earnings of $1.9 million, or 16 cents a share, in the three months that ended Aug. 31, up from $915,000, or 8 cents a share, in 2002's fourth quarter.
Revenue rose to $33 million.
Rick Parod, president and chief executive officer, said the results were good despite significantly lower export sales to the Middle East. The company had revenue increases for both its domestic irrigation and international operations,...
