Columbus, Ohio-Based Elmer's Glue Being Sold to Philadelphia Company.

Oct. 17--Elmer's Products, the Columbus-based maker of Elmer's glue and Krazy Glue, is being sold to a Philadelphia investment-management company whose holdings include the company that makes X-Acto knives.

The Berwind Group said yesterday that it has agreed to acquire Elmer's and expects the deal to be completed by early next month.

Elmer's, once a part of Borden Inc. and now controlled by New York-based Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co., has its headquarters in the Borden Building Downtown and operates a warehouse on Fisher Road. The company also operates a packaging plant for Krazy Glue in West Jefferson.
