Oct. 18--Sue Ann Collins, hired by The Phoenix Cos. Inc. as executive vice president of life and annuity products and operations, has resigned "for personal reasons" after less than six months on the job.
The resignation, which is effective Oct. 31, was disclosed in a federal securities filing by the troubled Hartford-based company late Friday.
In a memo to employees Friday, company chief executive Dona D. Young said Collins is leaving for "personal reasons," but did not elaborate.
Company spokeswoman Alice Ericson also declined to discuss the reasons, and Collins could not be reached for comment.
