Oct. 23--BNC Bancorp on Tuesday reported improving operating results for the financial period ended Sept. 30.
For the three-month period, the company reported net income of $913,000, an increase of 28 percent when compared to the $712,000 reported for the third quarter in 2002. Diluted earnings per share increased to $0.24 for the third quarter, compared to $0.19 reported for same period in 2002. All per share amounts have been adjusted for the 10 percent stock dividend paid to shareholders on Sept. 15.
For the nine-month period, BNC reported net income of $2.5 million, an increase of 36 percent when compared to the $1.8 million reported for the first nine months of 2002....
