Value of Building Permits in Orange County, Calif., Has More Than Tripled.

Oct. 31--They're growing their space in anticipation of growing demand for their products.

The founder of privately held Shecom just bought a soon-to-be completed 30,000-square-foot industrial building in Brea where his company will assemble its current products, computer peripherals.

Shecom president Phillip Trad says the new building has more room than Shecom's old plant in Yorba Linda. The new place will also hold new product lines -- plasma televisions and DVDs that will debut next year -- plus house the additional workers it will hire for the expansion.
