Kaiser Permanente Buys Land in Folsom, Calif., for Possible Hospital Expansion.

Nov. 1--In a move that will bring expanded medical resources and potentially a new hospital to Folsom, Kaiser Permanente announced Friday that it has purchased 50 acres at Iron Point Road and East Bidwell Street near existing medical offices.
The health care organization, which plans to build additional medical offices and an outpatient surgery center, is considering a new hospital, said spokeswoman Kathleen McKenna.
More than 15,000 Kaiser members use the Folsom facility, an increase of 1,200 since the organization opened offices in the area last year.
