Nov. 3--CHAPMAN, Kan.--The vending machines in front offer the first clue there's something different about Dave McPhail's business.
Instead of the sports star photographed with a soft drink, his pop machine-like contraptions bear the image of a largemouth bass and a walleye, tantalizing anglers and angler wannabes who frequent Chapman Creek Fly & Tackle and serve up live bait.
Opened June 1 in a remodeled Texaco service station, Chapman Creek offers McPhail the chance to work for himself while practicing his passion for fishing.
