Nov. 7--MUZAK SHOWS INCREASE IN THIRD-QUARTER EARNINGS: Muzak LLC announced Thursday that its total income for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $59.3 million, compared to $56.2 million for the same period last year, a 5.7 percent increase.
Profits before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the third quarter were $19.1 million, compared to $18.7 million in third quarter last year, an increase of 2.2 percent.
In other Muzak news, Lon Otremba recently joined the company as president.
