SSL International Receives Three Bids for Medical Division.

Nov. 9--SSL International, the company behind Durex condoms and Scholl sandals, was evaluating bids this weekend from three private equity groups for its medical division, which was put up for sale earlier this year.
The company received three final bids on Friday, from Morgan Stanley's private equity arm, Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, 3i and Apax Partners, for the business in the region of UKpound 200 million (E292 million, $336 million) to UKpound 230 million. Although the final price may be higher, it is still expected to be below current market expectations of UKpound 275 million.
