Worker Survey Ranked NASA as Best Place to Work in Federal Government.

Nov. 13--WASHINGTON--NASA is the best place to work in the federal government, according to an analysis of a worker survey released Wednesday.

While the study was done before the Feb. 1 Columbia accident -- a defining event that has prompted the space agency to undertake a top-to-bottom effort to boost its safety culture -- NASA came out on top of the list of the 28 federal departments surveyed.

The rankings, a joint project of the nonprofit Partnership for Public Service and American University's Institute for the Study of Public Policy Implementation, are based on a survey of 100,000 federal workers done late last year.
