Nov. 20--Wealthy people are worried about terrorism, their children's financial future and their personal security, a survey of high-income people by Portland-based U.S. Trust found. In addition, rich people have developed a lack of trust in publicly traded companies, corporate financial statements and independent auditors.
Seventy-nine percent of those polled "question the reliability" of corporate financial statements and do not trust equity analysts, 67 percent do not trust corporate management, and 65 percent do not trust independent auditors.
