Miller Brewing Has No Plans for New Low-Carb Beer to Rival Coors' Aspen Edge.

Nov. 20--Miller Brewing Co. has no plans to launch a new low-carbohydrate beer in the wake of Wednesday's announcement of a low-carb beer being launched by Coors Brewing Co.

That's because Milwaukee-based Miller already has a low-carb beer with Miller Lite, said a spokeswoman.

Coors, the nation's third-largest brewer, plans to introduce Aspen Edge next year. Coors is launching Aspen Edge in reaction to the success of Michelob Ultra, a low-carb beer launched last year by Anheuser-Busch Inc., the nation's largest brewer.
