Publisher R.R. Donnelley & Sons Settles Virginia Discrimination Lawsuit.

Nov. 20--R.R. Donnelley & Sons and a production worker at the book publisher's Roanoke County plant have reached an out-of-court settlement of a lawsuit alleging the company discriminated against her because she's black. Doris Nance-Tucker will continue to work at the plant and recently was informed that she will be getting a promotion and an accompanying raise in pay, according to her lawyer, Paul Beers.

However, neither Beers nor the company's attorney, Jim Johnson, would say directly whether the promotion was related to the litigation or the settlement that ended it.
