Nov. 25--UPLAND, Calif.--Like most people, Barbara Smolinski bears the brunt of the 21st-century time crunch.
The San Antonio Community Hospital radiology technologist operates Magnetic Resonance Imagery equipment eight hours a day, as well as taking care of daughters Molly and Audrey. Her husband Louis works as a construction manager in Palmdale, and is equally short on time.
Family errands -- which can range from dry cleaning to developing film to mailing packages -- can steal up to an hour a day from the Alta Loma family.
