Lawmakers React to Passage of Medicare Bill through Congress.

Nov. 26--WASHINGTON--All that remains is for President Bush to sign the paperwork, and the largest expansion and reorganization of Medicare in the program's 38-year history will become law.
Bush praised lawmakers Tuesday and is eager to sign the $395 billion plan that will add a prescription drug benefit to Medicare, give private insurance companies a greater opportunity to sign up beneficiaries, and make other important changes in the federal health program for the elderly.
