Cost of Attending Sporting Events in South Florida Evaluated.

Nov. 30--Rabid Miami Dolphins fan Fred Jacobs doesn't think twice about the cost of attending a game at Pro Player Stadium.

Sure, ticket prices average nearly $50, parking costs $20 and a hot dog will set you back $4. But Jacobs avoids pricey concessions by tailgating before the game; the Jupiter man figures he'd spend the money somewhere else if he wasn't watching the Dolphins.

"I don't think $50 is a lot," Jacobs said, while hanging out in the Pro Player parking lot before last Sunday night's game against the Washington Redskins. "I took my 4-year-old to the movies the other day and spent $28."
