United Health Group to Launch Transaction-Card System.

Dec. 3--United Health Group will launch a transaction-card system next year to help streamline all kinds of health care processes, CEO William McGuire said Tuesday.
UnitedHealth will tap MasterCard International's transaction processing system for everything from benefit cards that enable a doctor's office to check co-pays and eligibility, to reimbursement cards that allow members to pay for drugs and services directly out of their medical or flexible spending accounts.
