Orlando, Fla.-Based Lockheed Martin Unit Changes Its Name.

Dec. 2--Lockheed Martin's Orlando-based information systems business has changed its name and appointed a new business-development leader with a military background, the company announced Monday.

Changing the name to Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training and Support more accurately reflects the nature of the business, which employs about 2,800 people, half of whom are in Orlando, company officials said.

Industry specialists agreed that the new title better describes the strong simulation and training aspect of the operation.
