Dec. 5--Inside the yellow metal cage, two powerful robot arms twist and move with startling precision and speed.
This is only a demonstration run, so there are no steel parts for the machines to grip and weld.
Soon, this $500,000 mechanical wonder, designed and built by IMAX Industries Inc. of Painesville, will be disassembled and transported on trucks to an auto parts plant where it will weld nuts to Nissan vehicle frames.
A team of IMAX employees will travel to the plant to reassemble the equipment and make sure everything is in order, said Michael Miller, owner of IMAX.
