New Head of Reading, Pa.-Based Medical Device Maker Arrow Faces Learning Curve.

Dec. 7--As Marlin Miller Jr., former chairman and chief executive and a founding partner of Arrow International Inc., neared retirement and his successor was named, surprising to some was the absence of any medical-related experience on the resume of Carl G. Anderson Jr.
Rather, the expertise Anderson brings from his 30 years at various major consumer-products firms is being leveraged to take the maker of catheters and other medical devices to the next level.
