Wichita, Kan.-Area Convenience Store Chain Adds Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Dec. 9--Wichita Krispy Kreme lovers can now find the famed, puffy doughnuts at QuikTrip.
Krispy Kreme replaces LaMar's Donuts at 34 QuikTrip convenience stores throughout the Wichita area.
The switch was made Monday.
QuikTrip raised its doughnut prices from 50 cents to 69 cents to reflect Krispy Kreme's higher price, said Mark Branham, QuikTrip's Wichita division manager.
LaMar's did a fine job of supplying doughnuts, Branham said, but doughnut sales at QuikTrip were falling.
"I don't know whether it was because of the economy or what, but the fresh pastry sales were down year over year," Branham said. "We're just looking for a way...
