Southern Nevada Economic Indicators Point to Good Times Ahead.

Dec. 10--September proved to be another strong month for Southern Nevada's leading economic indicators, suggesting continued expansion into 2004, a top local economist said Tuesday.

The Southern Nevada Index of Leading Economic Indicators broke the 130 mark for November, with all 10 components advancing from a year ago.

The index, compiled by the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, stands at 130.28, compared with 129.34 in October and 127.79 a year ago.

The index is a six-month forecast from the month of the data, based on a net-weighted contribution from each series.
