Chief of Memphis, Tenn., Morgan Stanley Office Soars despite Sexism.

Dec. 11--Cynthia Norville started her investment career in the back of a feed store in Robertsdale, Ala.

In a male-dominated business where even a female boss threw roadblocks in front of her, Norville, 39, hasn't wavered on a career path that has led her to the branch manager post in Memphis for Morgan Stanley, one of Wall Street's giants.

"I always knew I wanted to manage," Norville said. "I enjoy bringing out the talent in others and helping them to grow."
