Some Older Malls Remain Significant Players on Dallas-Area Retail Landscape.

Dec. 16--One more trip to the mall is on most everyone's to-do list this time of year.

For many, it will be to the same mall they've been going to for more than 30 years. If they're home for the holidays, it could be the mall they went to as teenagers.

The decade that started with the Beatles breakup in 1970 and ended just before the invention of Pac-Man in 1980 spawned many malls that are still stalwarts in major U.S. markets.
