Lake Mary, Fla., Wants Qwest to Release Tax Records.

Dec. 17--LAKE MARY, Fla.--Officials think Qwest Communications International Inc. owes the city $240,000 in unpaid telecommunications taxes, and they want to get access to records to prove it.
On Tuesday, the City Commission gave City Manager John Litton authorization to negotiate with Qwest for release of the records.
The commission's hope is that recent changes in Qwest's auditing department will make it easier to get the records, which have been withheld as the company questioned why Lake Mary needed the information.
