Jobless Rate Higher in Pueblo, Colo., Area in November.

Dec. 23--Pueblo's jobless rate rose in November by three-tenths of a percent as the job cuts at Boeing and other layoffs added to the unemployment rolls.
John Martinez, director of Pueblo County Work Link said, "We're feeling some of the Boeing impact to some degree and some other layoffs here and there."
Martinez said that Telelink, an outbound telemarketing firm, had cut jobs and there also were layoffs at Rocky Mountain Steel Mills' seamless tube mill.
Pueblo has had a net increase in jobs over a year ago, however, with 954 more people employed last month than in November of 2002 but 140 fewer than in October.
