Wells Fargo Makes Web Site User-Friendly for Online Banking Customers.

Dec. 27--In the heated competition to get bank customers online, Wells Fargo's top talent is an unassuming but sharp leader -- Iranian-born Avid Modjtabai.

Modjtabai, a 42-year-old former consultant to financial services companies, has run Wells Fargo's Internet Services Group since 2002, responsible for Wells' pioneering and award-winning site.

Her division's prime mandate is to make it easy for customers to get virtually every Wells product online -- a vital step in the bank's goal of selling at least eight products to each of its 23 million customers.
