Jan. 11--ATHENS, Ga. -- The ongoing controversy between University of Georgia President Michael Adams and the UGA Foundation could prompt the University System to exert more control over how the private fund-raising organization operates.

Several members of the system's Board of Regents said it was clear to them that the UGA Foundation didn't understand its role.
