Jan. 16--Company officials at Ecology & Environment are hoping to move beyond the shrimp farm in 2004.
At Thursday's annual meeting of shareholders, officials at the Lancaster environmental services firm said that the company is actively seeking a buyer for its beleaguered shrimp farm in Costa Rica, and will focus its efforts this year on expanding its contract work around the globe.
"In our consulting business, we've had an excellent year," said Gerhard J. Neumaier, the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer. "Our international business, in many ways, looks even stronger for the year ahead."
