Jan. 19--NEW YORK -- Locating the wine aisle isn't a problem for shoppers at Metro Group's newest grocery store in Rheinberg, Germany.
The shopping cart tells them how to find it. Once there, an information terminal in the department will size up the bottle, describe the taste and origin of the contents, and make serving suggestions, with recipes.
Welcome to the Future Store, a technology marvel that Germany's biggest retailer has constructed just outside Duesseldorf, with the help of 40 vendors.
