E-Mail Sent Claiming to Be for U.S. Bank Exposed as Scam.

Jan. 20--E-mails stating that a person's U.S. Bank account was blocked because information was compromised is a scam.
"We have noticed some activity related to your account that indicates that other parties may have access and or control of your information . . .," the e-mail states. "These parties have in the past been involved with money laundering, illegal drugs, terrorism and various Federal Title 18 violations.
"Before you can reactivate your account, all payments have been frozen, and you will not be able to use your account in any way until we have verified your identity."
It asks the e-mail recipient to click on the link to verify the account...
