Dean of Indiana University's Business School to Step Down.

Jan. 21--Dan Dalton, who has led Indiana University's Kelley School of Business since 1997, said he is stepping down as dean to take a teaching position.

Dalton, who makes $284,184 a year, told faculty and staff of his decision Tuesday.

The 57-year-old expects to transition out of the position at a to-be-determined date next summer.

Margaret Garrison, who directs marketing and communications at the school, said Dalton's decision was driven by timing.

"A deanship takes a lot out of you," Garrison said.
