Former Missouri Resident Returns to Direct Columbia's Utilities Department.

Jan. 22--A 1979 University of Missouri graduate is returning to run Columbia's Water and Light Department.
Daniel Dasho, who is responsible for electric, water, wastewater and fiber-optic utilities for Shawano, Wis., population 8,298, has accepted the job left vacant by Richard Malon's retirement. He begins his work in Columbia on Feb. 23.
"I believe his education, experience and knowledge, along with his community involvement, will be very beneficial to our community," City Manager Ray Beck said in a prepared statement released this morning.
