Toyota Launches Scion Line of Vehicles for Generation Y.

Feb. 3--In this era of monster SUVs, ultra-luxurious pickups and hyper-exotic cars, will anyone want a boxy little van with available camouflage paint?

Toyota thinks it could be your kid's next vehicle.

Today, many Toyota dealers in Texas, the Southeast and East are launching Scion, a new line designed to appeal to the ranks of young consumers. Scion was introduced in California last June and will arrive at dealers in the rest of the country this June.

Over the next decade, the 63 million members of Generation Y -- those born after 1980 -- will replace their baby boomer parents as the largest and most influential population group in the United States....
