Spartanburg, S.C., Newspaper Names Managing Editor.

Feb. 1--Greg Retsinas, city editor at The Tuscaloosa News in Alabama, has been named managing editor of the Herald-Journal.
He will begin Monday.
Retsinas, 31, has worked with The New York Times Regional Newspaper Group for seven years as a staff writer and Raleigh bureau chief before becoming city editor in Tuscaloosa.
Retsinas graduated in 1994 with a degree in political science from Brown University, where he was editor of The Brown Daily Herald.
He worked for newspapers in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania before joining The New York Times Co.
He said he's looking forward to the future in Spartanburg.
