Two Cities Sign Off on Air Quality Plan for San Antonio Region.

Feb. 6--NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- The city of Seguin and Comal County this week endorsed a regional air pollution reduction plan that does not require automobile tailpipe testing.

It would require the installation of degreasing equipment that controls vapor releases at auto repair shops, machine shops and other industries; the use of cleaner burning gasoline in the summer; and vapor recovery equipment on gasoline delivery trucks.

But it avoids one of the most expensive and controversial strategies studied by the Air Improvement Resources Committee of the Alamo Area Council of Governments.
