Economist Upbeat on Inland California's Prospects, Even without Housing Boom.

Feb. 7--If Inland Southern California's economy continues its steady growth in 2004, it might happen without some of the sizzle that came from the housing boom, an economist with regional ties said Friday.

Michael Bazdarich, who was director of the UCR Forecasting Center for 10 years and is now affiliated with UCLA, told business leaders at Riverside Community College that the two-county area will benefit from renewed economic growth nationally.
